Praise the Lord! A new year and a new decade bringing us nearer to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ!! The past year, in obedience to His “Commission,” we are still making disciples of all nations. My “nation” is the Philippines. My “call” is to preach, teach and heal, in the Name of Jesus. I’m still doing all that! A minister that touched my life in a powerful way once said, “Faith is the ability to live in this limited world in an unlimited way.” Even though many things in the "limiting" world try to hinder our witness, like physical and economic attacks, faith is still the only way for us to live ABOVE the circumstances. I believed that when I first got saved over 30 years ago and I still believe it. We truly are “more than conquerors through Jesus Christ who loves us.” The Lord told me once that I was the only "limiting" factor because He is NOT limited! BIBLE
TRAINING CENTER Since we moved into our Staff Residence in August 2007, we have been able to have live-in students, as we did from 1991 through 2001. The mission has always been to have our students live inside the training center so we can immerse them in teaching and practical ministry. Having students live-in requires much more effort and expense but we have seen the result over the past 19 years: men and women who are filled with the Word and the fruit of the Holy Spirit! Men and women who want to move in God's Power with signs following!

(Above) After I returned to the Philippines from the USA this summer, we enrolled fourteen students in our Phase I Bible Training Center. Thirteen were live-in students and one commuter. I would like to have at least 25 enrolled but, unfortunately, until we have dormitories, we can house a maximum of 14 live-in students. As I shared many times, our mission is “quality” students not the “quantity” of students. Those we accept are already in ministry and their pastors recognize a “call” to devote their lives to full time service. This batch had their “Completion Ceremony” the end of January 2010. |

(Above) Our Phase 1 students doing their Practicum in Evangelism at a local park and plaza. Each student led at least 10 people to Jesus Christ in two separate expeditions. The Decision Cards from the 140+ new Believers were given to one of our alumni pastors who is pioneering a church in that area! 1 Cor 3:6-7 I
have planted , Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7
So then neither is he that planteth any thing,
neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

In December, 2009, we had an Ordination Service for three of our licensed alumni. They have been pastoring churches for more than two years and met the requirements for Ordination. |
2007 LIGHT OF THE WORLD MINISTRY – PHILIPPINES

| We moved into the Staff Residence August 1-3. We have been moving stuff with big trucks (see picture), our Van and our car for several weeks! We filled several trucks like this for 2 days! We have 9 workers, not including me. We needed every one of them! We need to hire a cook now as we will have 20-25 eating 3 times a day during the school year. |

| Finally….. the house is painted inside (and almost all inside!) It really looks wonderful. It is still really hot even though we are in the rainy season. Sitting on a cliff, we get such wonderful breezes. I love it so much. God’s Presence is here in a very, very tangible measure. |

| This was to
be the women’s side of the house but until we get a dormitory for
the men, we have to alter our original sleeping arrangements. (I paid for a satellite dish with my own funds as there is no T.V. reception or cable T.V. in our area.) Aren’t the flowers are so beautiful! |

| The veranda
on the back of the house completed the security grills. We still
need 2 grills for the front entrance which we will make ourselves.
(Three of our workers are welders as well as having many, many other
skills and gifts!) We will bring fill dirt to build up the yard in the rear of the house as it is the lowest point in the back. |

| This is the
view I have from the veranda outside my bedroom windows! Everyone on
the back side of the house has a gorgeous view. It was stormy when I took this and you can hardly tell where the sea stops and sky begins. There is a major island across from our house called Iloilo. It is only visible on a really clear day. I just love looking out and praising God for His love (and for yours!) |

| Here are the 9 tables and 27 chairs we bought for the new school year! Having some new and better equipment is a real morale lifter for all of us. (I mean the 3 part time faculty and the 3 full time teachers, including me!) Our old homemade wooden tables and plastic chairs were 16 years old! |
I am still working on a newsletter.
Love, Wanda
